Our movement is about bringing Downriver residents together to focus on a sustainable future for our region. We hope to make a positive impact for our community that will affect our children and region for generations to come.

Trenton, Riverview, Grosse Ile and our Downriver neighbors know that we’re all in this together — that our actions shape each others’ communities and lives.

Effective
When we come together to enact change on a local level, the results of our hard work and passion are apparent.
From encouraging Trenton City Council to stall the rezoning vote in the face of enormous pressure, to gaining the attention of national partners and funding resources, we’ve alerted our community to the opportunities and resources we have to permanently transform Downriver’s future to be both healthier and far more prosperous than returning to heavy industry.

We know what’s possible.
By engaging with other communities and advocates who have overcome industrial pasts for environmentally and economically resilient futures, our movement recognizes that fully cleaning up industrial sites on our waterfront and in our communities isn’t just an option - it’s the only option for a healthy, wealthy, and sustainable future.
And we know what it takes to get there.
